Mistfall Hunter Classes

Six classes, twelve weapon identities — compare every path through the Gyldenmist.

The six classes

Mistfall Hunter launches with six distinct classes. Steam describes each class as mastering two weapon stances; the role summaries below are BuildCodex editorial guidance.

Mercenary

The clearest starting point for direct melee. Its defensive options make mistakes easier to study, while heavier weapon choices reward commitment and timing.

Sorcerer

A ranged controller built around positioning. The class can shape crowded fights, but becomes vulnerable when escape and control tools are exhausted.

Blackarrow

The free-aim specialist. Range is an advantage only when shots land, so tracking, elevation and disciplined spacing matter more than passive safety.

Shadowstrix

The assassin archetype: enter on your terms, create burst pressure, then reposition. Mobility is a tool rather than extra durability.

Seer

The broadest role split. Support-oriented play can protect a trio, while the aggressive path trades that identity for close-range pressure.

Withered Knight

Heavy weapons, defensive timing and deliberate control define this class. It suits players who prefer reading opponents over constant speed.

Which class should a beginner choose?

Editorial recommendation: start with Mercenary if you want the most readable learning experience. Choose the fantasy and mechanics you will practice, not a tier label that may expire after the next patch.
